PISTOL TACTICS 3

In Pistol 3 you will apply the shooting skills you developed and refined in the Pistol 1 and Pistol 2 courses in tactical scenarios. The instructors will introduce various tactics, techniques and procedures that have been pressure tested by Special Operations Forces in combat. The instructors encourage open conversations about why SOF operators prefer certain techniques over others. The intent is for you to not only understand the “how” but to also understand the “why”.

This course is similar to our other Tactical courses, however, it is designed for participants who have completed Pistol 1 and 2 courses. Therefore, the course of instruction will increase more rapidly and include techniques that require a higher level of competency. Emphasis will be also be placed on your accuracy and round accountability. At the end of the event, all participants will have the opportunity earn one of the AET Elite Pistol Marksmanship patches. These patches can only be earned at AET events by performing specific shooting drills to standard.

- SERPA-style holsters not authorized. Due to the nature of the training offered and the repetitive drawing and holstering of firearms, SERPA style holsters are not authorized for Armored Eagle Training courses. If you do not have an alternative holster available, one may be provided with advanced notice.

- Keep firearms in vehicles. Please take care that when arriving to training sites, participants are not to remove from their vehicles or otherwise handle firearms until instructed to do so by the event cadre. In an effort to enforce good firearms safety and best practices, we would ask that firearms remain in vehicles until specifically told to bring them out.
